Time & Talents launches networking events to boost corporate involvement in charity sector
Last week One Westminster’s corporate arm, Time and Talents hosted its very first corporate-community engagement event at the newly opened Greenhouse Sports Centre in Marylebone. The event brought businesses and charities together to create sustainable partnerships to support the Westminster community, and also to inspire ways to channel CSR support to small local charities.
Blackstone Vice President Ruth Andreichuk said: “I thought the event was excellent and really appreciated the opportunity to connect with so many local charities.“
Some 25 Westminster businesses met with 30 third sector organisations working on a range of key social issues in Westminster to discuss such topics as social responsibility and best practice for corporate involvement in the local community.
Paola Pagliarin, Time & Talents’ Corporate Partnerships Manager said: “Our team helped charities to make connections with businesses interested in bringing professional expertise to grow the capacity of small charities in Westminster.
‘‘To help deliver Westminster Council’s social value strategy of a ‘City for All’, we will continue to arrange these networking events from now on. The next event is on 14 November. It’s sponsored by Grosvenor, a Westminster-based business that leads in sustainability. Please save the date.”
