Volunteers speed community garden regeneration in St John's Wood
Last week volunteers and One Westminster staff together made a big contribution to a local garden by helping to renovate St Johns Wood Church Ground nature reserve.
The redevelopment involved removing unwanted plants and clearing the ground to improve the habitat for wildlife and make space for a new playground. It was a successful day for us all - full of meeting new people, working as a team and simply enjoying the fresh air.
Volunteer Andrew Michael Clarke said: “Today we cut hedges so that a new playground can be made, tidied up and cleared the space. I would come to another volunteering event like this in the future, because I like being active and being outside.”
