Westminster Community Network

“What can we all do to ensure that everyone growing up and living in Westminster feels that they belong?”

Sarah Mitchell, the new Chair of the Westminster Community Network, cordially invites all members to attend the WCN Open Space event on Community Cohesion on 29 September 2016 where she will be asking the question, “What can we all do to ensure that everyone growing up and living in Westminster feels that they belong?”

As you know Westminster is a very diverse place. The city council is incredibly proud of its diversity and considers it one of the city’s key strengths. However, there are still important challenges to overcome in order to make Westminster a place where everyone feels they belong and are safe. For this reason a cross-party Commission was recently formed to gather any evidence of local barriers to cohesion.

The Commission is very interested in hearing from Westminster's third sector organisations. Given the WCN's extensive knowledge and experience of working with the community, it's contribution could be invaluable. The meeting promises to be an exciting and stimulating experience and there’ll be plenty of time to network.

Please note that this meeting is only open to voluntary organisations who are based in Westminster, or organisations whose beneficiaries live in Westminster.
