PWW is a niche charities law firm based in Pimlico.  We are committed to helping local charities and community groups with their legal issues.  We are pleased to be able to offer training sessions through One Westminster but we can also offer members a free initial enquiry by telephone for 20 minutes.  Please call 020 7821 8211 and ask to speak to a member of our charities team or email your enquiry to [email protected] and we will give you a call back.

Russel-Cooke Advice Helpline

Through One Westminster, Russell-Cooke Solicitors is offering a free legal advice helpline to voluntary or community organisations operating in Westminster. 

You can access up to 20 minutes of advice on any one issue. Areas covered include: 

  • Governance
  • Contracting and collaboration
  • Mergers
  • Intellectual Property
  • Leases and Property
  • Legal Structures and Charitable Status
  • HR/employment

To access the helpline you must be a One Westminster member. You may become a member by filling in the registration form. If you are a member, please call Davide Marullo at 0207 535 0488.

The helpline is available 9.30am - 5pm on weekdays.

OTHER SOURCES OF LEGAL ADVICE

  • The LawWorks Not-For-Profits Programme provides free legal advice and support to small not-for profit organisations who give valuable support to communities across England and Wales. LawWorks matches the organisation with a volunteer lawyer from its network who can advise on that matter. Examples of discrete matters volunteers can help with include: drafting a contract, reviewing a lease, updating a constitution/articles and clarifying rights in a commercial dispute.  
  • Russell-Cooke Solicitors provide practical legal advice to charities and other not-for-profit organisations, which are varied in legal structure and area of operation
  • Sandy Adirondack is a freelance management consultant and trainer working exclusively in the voluntary/not-for-profit sector. Her main specialisms legal aspects of voluntary sector governance and management, and helping boards become more effective. Her  website includes a legal update service which will help your organisation keep up with changes in the law. There are direct links to government guidance, regulations and the legislation itself.
