GUIDANCE ON RETAINING AND STORING CHILD PROTECTION RECORDS

The NSPCC has published guidance to help any organisation that needs to gather and process data for child protection records. The good practice it recommends is compatible with the General Data Protection Regulation.

SAFEGUARDING ADULT TRAINING

This online course is run quarterly to provide attendees with an awareness of what adult safeguarding is as set out under the provisions of the Care Act 2014 and support staff to identify signs and indicators of abuse and neglect and to understand the referral pathway to raise a safeguarding concern.
It will cover:

* Safeguarding principles and Making Safeguarding Personal
* Relevant legislation, policy and procedures – including Care Act duties
* Responding to safeguarding concerns and undertaking enquiries
* Cooperation, partnership and information sharing
* Learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews.
