WCN September 2021

Registration is closed for this event
A special event entitled: 'The Voluntary and Community Sector - right at the heart of health and well-being in Westminster'.

Please join our first in-person meeting for a while - Covid-safe and Covid-permitting!

We will be holding this WCN meeting at Grand Junction in the nave of St Mary Mags on Tuesday 14th September - starting with a networking light lunch from 1.00pm.

Cllr Heather Acton will be joining us, along with representatives from the local NHS, and from VCS providers in key areas (tackling BME inequalities; mental health; VCS partnership with Healthwatch; Social Prescribing; CYP health; new NHS and social care structures and future relationships with VCS).

Henry Leak, Head of Children, Young People, Learning Disabilities and Autism at NHS NW London CCG will introduce some of the changes to local NHS organisation and priorities, and will also talk about the local NHS plans, challenges, hopes and fears, under the “Winter is Coming” theme.

Short introductory speeches will be followed by discussion groups in each area - looking at

- what works well in health and wellbeing partnerships locally?

- what are the current identified needs that the VCS could respond to and how do we resource these responses?

- how do we ensure positive strategic partnerships and planning between the VCS and the Integrated Care systems going forward?
