Our most recent gardening event on Thursday, 24 October was hailed as a great success by those who attended despite the bad weather. Some 10 volunteers and One Westminster staff spent a fun three hours pruning a huge number of roses at Paddington Street Gardens near Baker Street.
Volunteer Service Manager Nigel Barber said: “It was raining hard but the spirits of the team were not dampened. Gardening activities are a great way to involve hard to reach groups and give them a taster of the joys of outdoor work.”
The next gardening event is leaf clearance at St Johns Wood Church Ground Gardens on Thursday 5 December, so watch this space for more details.
