Join us at our next Westminster Community Network event where we will be talking all things community resilience.
Community resilience refers to initiatives that aim to empower communities and individuals to prepare, respond and recover from future emergencies and major incidents. An emergency or major incident can include, but is not limited to, an extreme weather event (e.g. flood, drought or extreme heat or cold weather conditions), a major fire, a cyber-attack, a terrorist incident, an essential utility service disruption and more.
Agenda:
Lunch and networking (vegetarian and vegan options will be available, 1-1.30pm)
Introduction to community resilience and updates
VCS experiences with preparing for and responding to emergencies with discussion
Practical steps for organisations
This meeting is also an opportunity to get connected with other organisations and stay up to date with everything happening in the Westminster voluntary and community sector.
