North Paddington Youth Club aims to promote the spiritual, mental and physical education of young people resident in Maida Vale and neighbouring areas. We have been operating since 1942, we are embedded within the community and we are trusted by our residents and our partners. Young people in this area face many challenges but we are happy to be able to offer them a much-needed safe and supportive environment where they can thrive at our youth club throughout the week, late into the evening, over the weekend and through the school holidays. Our young people are at the heart of what we do and play a critical role in the design, delivery, evaluation and sustainability of our varied youth programme – particularly through our members’ forum and peer mentoring schemes.
We deliver activities at our newly redeveloped state-of-the-art youth club 7 days a week and also conduct outreach work in the surrounding community and offer offsite activities and residential trips for our young people. The Youth Club itself has a large sports hall, dance studio, classrooms, sensory room, kitchen and various other spaces that the young people utilise. We encourage young people to participate in activities throughout the year such as boxing, martial arts, fitness sessions, football, basketball, driving lessons, employability support, arts and crafts, health workshops, beauty sessions and various accredited training courses. We also offer exciting holiday programmes where young people get the opportunity to sample more adventurous activities such as Aeroplane and Helicopter Flying Lessons, Quad Biking, Go Karting, Scuba Diving and Residential trips alongside healthy hot meals every day.
