Description

We are local grassroots organisation, operating in North Paddington, offering culturally and socially informed support for our communities.
We offer weekly community outreach, organise community events, food literacy workshops, school uniforms drives, food demonstrations and consultancy services.
Our service is heavily reliant on our volunteers, allowing us to provide a high quality service.
Community Outreach
We provide weekly food outreach for over 45 families and vulnerable individuals in the North Paddington area. We provide cooked meals and food parcels. We currently only are able to provide one outreach service a week, therefore we provide fresh fruits and vegetables alongside pantry essentials.
Mentoring
We offer mentoring services to young people in the local areas, focusing on those who have direct experiences of the criminal justice system.
Community Events
We host many community events throughout the year. As we want to celebrate the heritage and culture of our service users, we host an annual Windrush Day event, highlighting the service and contributions linked with Westminster.
We host an annual Christmas Day Dinner for our service users and the wider community. We are very aware many people are alone during the holiday, therefore we hold our event on Christmas day to help combat holiday loneliness.
We hold many other events throughout the year, in response to what we are hearing from young people and our local community.
Food Literacy
We work with our local youth organisations and partners to facilitate workshops for young people and community members focused on sharing the impact of positive food choices and how to be better informed about the benefits of a healthy cultural diet.
We want to encourage our community and young people to make informed choices and engage in workshops focused around food education in fun, practical and adaptable spaces.
