Description

Westminster Community Counselling Service is a University of Westminster initiative making thoughtful, affordable counselling more accessible to local communities. We offer a welcoming space for people facing anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties, discrimination and life transitions, with fees designed to reduce financial barriers to support.
Our approach is decolonising, race affirmative and LGBTQ+ informed. We recognise that distress does not arise in isolation: racism, exclusion, poverty, gender norms and unequal access to care can shape both people’s lives and their experiences of therapy. We seek to understand each person in the context of their culture, relationships, identity and lived experience, without treating difference as a problem to be corrected.
We welcome people of diverse racial, cultural, religious, gender, sexual and relationship identities. Our counsellors include qualified practitioners and advanced trainees who receive regular clinical supervision. Through reflective practice and a commitment to learning, we aim to offer counselling in which people feel respected, heard and able to explore their experiences on their own terms.
