I Can Be

Description

I Can Be is a registered charity (Number 1188905) that aims to break down barriers to opportunity and open up doors through the world of work. We bring 7- and 8-year-old girls into the world of work so they can learn about a wide variety of jobs by meeting inspiring women professionals. Targeting inner-city primary schools, I Can Be enables girls to explore jobs they otherwise may not be exposed to, building their curiosity and confidence along the way. We aim to broaden girls' horizons and help them to discover the breadth of opportunity around them. I Can Be also therefore gives women the chance to inspire girls by telling them about their job, without even leaving their place of work! Alongside our main programme, we run a smaller project for boys, ICB Boys. I Can Be is funded entirely by charitable grants and donations and is free for schools.
